How to hire the right auto transport company - and maintain your sanity throughout the process.

Trying to find the right car shipping company to ship your beautiful car? Trust & comfortability are by far the most difficult issues facing you as the consumer when it comes to shipping your car. Hiring the right auto transport company and maintaining your sanity is easier said then done ! You might be thinking, Can the reviews I see online be trusted? Can I trust that the transporter won't damage my vehicle? Can I trust that my scheduling needs will be met? Can I trust that I won't be charged double?

Recently I had a conversation with a gentleman who was clearly very particular about a Camaro he had just purchased. He sounded very distrustful on the phone, and was clearly very worried about the process. He wanted to know if we were going to pick up his car on our own trucks, or if we were just going to "farm" it out as he put it on the phone. My response to his line of questioning was simple, you have to have SOME level of trust for the company you choose to do business with. And really, at the end of the day what difference does it even make? If we have 200 trucks, but you don't trust we know what we're doing, then why would you think we would employ good drivers? Or have good equipment? Or maintain our equipment well ? Maybe we will pick up your car and just drive to Mexico? So does it really matter ? When you hire a plumber to come in and fix pipes in your house, is there not risk involved ? What if he cuts the wrong pipes, or simply doesn't put a connector on correctly? You're entire home could be flooded. When you hire an auto mechanic, you are trusting that the mechanic has SOME degree of ability, or else why would you ever drop the car off with the shop? Could they not ruin your engine if they put the oil in the antifreeze coolant tank rather than the engine? Is it not possible that they could put the car on the lift incorrectly, and your car falls 9 feet off a lift? These things can happen, and they DO happen. But they don't happen that frequently.

When it comes to transporting cars, you simply have to find a competent company that knows what they're doing. That knows the industry inside and out. That CARES about their reputation. That has mostly good reviews, and doesn't have a pattern of ineptness online. Of course no one is perfect, there will always be that one person out there who just can't be happy no matter how great of a service one offers, and they'll leave a negative review. But 99% of people are reasonable when issues arise, and that's when it's up to the company you select to do what's in their power to take care of the issue.

We are very aware of how shady and scandalous the auto transport broker world is. We are rapidly trying to innovate to bring trust and transparency to the process. We care immensely about our online reputation. So what does that mean for you? It means we are going to do all we can to make sure your transport goes smoothly. From pricing to scheduling, to the quality of the carrier that moves your car. Whatever your requests happen to be, we will do all that we can to make those happen for you. But you have to do your part also, and give us a token of trust within the process. Distrust leads to negative outcomes 99% of the time. Why? Because this is a difficult industry to navigate. Prices are not guarantees. Pickup dates are not guarantees. Drop off dates are not guarantees. So what does this equate to? A very challenging process if you have no trust with whom your working with.

Our advice : If you can't find a happy place, with our company or any company, then you need to go out and pick up the car yourself. It simply won't be a fun process if you have no trust for the company you hire. There are too many variables in the world of auto transport. Pricing could go up, demand could increase, trucks could break down, drivers could get ill, trucks could cancel, drivers could be a no show, weather could cause delays, dealers could cause delays, the list goes on and on. So again, being realistic, and having SOME trust will lead to a far better process for all parties involved.
